Just wanted to show how low the dps was tonight.

DPS is the only reason we have not beaten the zones we have. either through AA's, AD3's or sending tells to someone of your class to figure out how to get it a bit higher. If you are below 800 on this raid and your not utility and or a healer you are on the low end. if you need anything adornments better gear from instances epic weapon updates let me know. granted I dont know every class but i have no shame ill ask a stranger what buttons i gotta push to get me where i need to be.

I'm open to suggestions on how to get my dps alot higher. The fact that Hopsalot can get that high is making me really curious on how I can extend myself to being better with dps.

But, on the down side, I'm not going to raid for a little bit just in case I have to do the running off again. It was a pure miracle that I was called right after the last raid on Saturday.

I just want to make sure that I'm not leaving the raid short if I have to leave suddenly.

Most of what I do for DPS I got from posts in the illusionist forum on eq2flames.

Here is an excerpt from a recent one that is close to what I do in raids.....

as for aa in raid you will want to look something like this....
STR 4,4,4,8
AGI 4,4,8,7,2
Int 6,4,4,8,1
Eof tree....
enchanting / Illusory arm line 2,5,5,5,5,5,1
time / Time compression line 5 in all but Pessimism you want 0 in that ( the dot is to long to get the dmg off it ) and 1 in time compression
the rest i have in my penetration line :-)
with that spec you will want to try to stay under 30% power you will get 25% extra dmg to all spells ( for now ) so having a power proc or 2 is never a bad thing.

SPELL ORDER this is what i do i know every player will change it a little.
Just b4 pull i cast Flash of Brilliance and Prismatic Adornment .
then when the mob is pulled i go in to Pessimism , ultraviolet beam , Brainclot
then back to ultraviolet beam.. and so on with the rest of my spells you will want to cast ultraviolet beam every time it is up ( that is just about every 2nd spell ) and you will want to cast prismatic adornment every time that is up 2. Lot of spamming spells... A LOT!

I am lacking in the gear department but hope to slowly approve in that area.

In the above...be careful on the Flash of Brilliance cast and make sure it is done pre-pull otherwise it is instant death from aggro.

Also, for your last master II choice make sure to choose Ultraviolet beam as this is a large part of our DPS.

This weeks dps improved a little bit but still not enough.....

There are two trains of thought here, both of what have been laying hard on my mind and I wanted to get them out.

1.) NON-optimal groups in relation to parse:
First off, parses mean crap if the groups are not considered 'equal' in balance. Having the MT group fairly close to optimal, and the other three less than ideal does nothing but imbalance it. We can easily push one or two members higher with just a little group tweaking, but to be able to push the whole raid higher REQUIRES classes that we do not currently have.

2.) Slacking/AFK/Mandatory buffs
With the above being taken out of the equation there is NO way in heck that a Zerker in a non-optimal group, or with three tanks and a templar should ever be top 3 on a parse, top 8, or out DPS a tier 1 classe. There are plenty of web sites out there that have a billion and one threads on how to maximize your class, please read them. If you need equipment/spells or combat arts, please ASK! Don't go moping around for weeks on end without asking for a group to hit instances to obtain gear, then show up to a raid woefully unprepared. If you must take afk's during a raid, please try to work with the raid leaders to do this during the breaks. Lastly, mandatory buffs, there are some that feel for them to be able to play their class they are REQUIRED to have the buffs of another class... its BS! As raid leaders it is our responsibility to know what is the best makeup for groups. Now, since we CASUAL raid, a lot of times there is not an optimal setup (see #1) and therefore those buffs you think you need a lot of the time will do more good on other toons!

I would ask everyone first to put down the mirror and quit thinking about only yourself when it comes to raiding. There are 23 other people that are doing this as well. When you come to a raid without knowing how to play your class to its fullest, without the proper gear/spells and CA's, having to take breaks every 15 mins, demanding that you get this or that buff, pissed when you don't win loot, watch TV because you are uninterested, etc.. etc.. etc... you are compromising the enjoyment for 23 other people.

Lastly, the one thing that you need to do on a raid is to LISTEN to the instructions the first time! Making someone repeat the same thing over and over because you were off checking the loot table for X mob, then coming back to half of the instructions CAN compromise the entire fight.

On a personal note, there is nothing more than I want than to raid with all of you! A lot of times in raid situations there are people that you 'tolerate' just so you can succeed, however that is NOT the case with us. All of you are great people, and I cannot think of a better group to fight with (Mobs, not each other :p)

WELL ALL i going to say is i agree with dasan that was very true in what u had to say and BLUNT !!!!! but TRUE i have seen alot of what u said happen or ppl who do not want to enevn improve there toon but wwe can not force anyone in such a way but i do ask for ppl to go to www.eq2flmames.com and just look at some post's if u feel u are slacking on healing or dps it does help alot

I agree totally. I just put this here as a guidline so others can see. not to judge them. waral wanted to see it but dasan has a point till we get the classes we need and people want to better themselves this is where we will stay.....
